Teaching your dog tricks is a fun way to interact with your best four-legged friend. There are many benefits to this activity, including these:
The more time you spend doing fun things with your dog, the greater the bond becomes between the two of you
Learning dog tricks helps to keep your dog’s mind sharp – the more he learns, the more he’ll be able to learn!

Performing dog tricks is a great stress reliever for dogs in uncomfortable situations.
You and your dog will be able to entertain friends and family with the dog tricks that you learned, and to their amazement too!
In most dog training classes they actually will use clicker training to shape the dogs’ behavior so they can learn dog tricks. Shaping behaviors using clicker training is a trial-and-error way for the dog to learn, which is how dogs learn in nature! Teaching them using this method will make you a better observer of dog behavior and improve your timing for reinforcing that behavior.
The first week will be an introduction or review of shaping. It is mandatory that everyone attend this class. During the subsequent four weeks they will work through selections from a list of dog tricks that they have up their sleeves, and will gladly add anyone's suggestions to that list. They’ll ask for suggestions at their first meeting, so think about what you’d like your dog to learn.
